Flood Relief at Lakshmipur & Khagrachari

Our Flood Relief Seva Services continues in Lakshmipur and Khagrachari via Ramakrishna Mission. We are grateful to our Ramakrishna Mission Chandpur and Chittagong for carrying out such timely Seva for our fellow citizens-in-need.

Flood Relief Services at Feni

We have distributed essential food and other items to people of flood affected areas in Feni, Bangladesh with Ramakrishna Mission. Our services were aimed at providing aid and helping lakhs of people displaced and affected during floods of 2024, at different districts of Bangladesh.

Our Vivekananda Scholars at Ladysmith

Vivekananda Scholarships were awarded to students at Ladysmith, South Africa.

Our Vivekananda Scholar from Zambia

Vivekananda Scholarship was awarded to the student from Zambian Medical College. A laptop was also awarded to her to help her with her studies.

Services at Zambia during Covid 19 Pandemic

Our organization provided services to the people of Zambia during Covid 19 pandemic. by providing them food items and other essentials.

Drinking Water Project

Installation of a borehole in a Zambian village for more than four hundred beneficiaries. They now have access to clean water and do not need to fetch water from 3 kilometers away anymore.

Character Building Initiative

“Sarada-Nivedita Shishu Niketan” established for children in coordination with modern education with Vedic education. More than 150 students are associated with each. The main objective of this institution is to master the practice of meditation and creative work along with academic lessons, Vedic scriptures, moral and intellectual lessons. Apples and biscuits were given in the morning tiffin as a balanced diet to the students not only mentally but also physically.

Construction & Inauguration of Swami Aksharananda Bhavan
By the grace of Thakur-Ma-Swamiji, “Swami Aksharananda Bhavan” at Ramakrishna Sevashrama, Uttar Rowail, Mirzapur, Tangail, Bangladesh was inaugurated by Revered Swami Purnatmanandaji Maharaj, Head of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaka along with Revered Swami Visheshawaranandaji Maharaj, Head of Ramakrishna Mission, Comilla. The other 6 Revered Sadhus were present along with 500 plus devotees from far & nearby many villages. Revered Swamijis expressed their highest satisfaction with the newly constructed Bhavan & it’s modern facilities and sincere passion & spiritual hunger by villagers in these remote areas. Our 175 students from Swami Swahanandaji Free Coaching Center at Ashrama presented their best performance. Everyone was moved. This is a Vivekananda Study & Philanthropic Center of New York’s new project. It was all possible due to daily guide by Revered Shaktinathanandaji (Nikhil Maharaj), Head of Ramakrishna Mission, Chittagong, and dedicated selfless work by Revered Vivek Maharaj and his team of volunteers, utmost cooperation from Engineer Dipankar Pandit of Dhaka and Engineer Swapan Paul of LGED. We are grateful to all of them. We are also very much thankful to all our donors who came forward and made it happen. Our Respectful Sastanga pranams and gratitude towards Most Revered President Mahararaj Srimat Swami Smarananandaji and Honorable General Secretary Maharaj Revered Swami Suviranandaji of Belur Math, Revered Swamis Chetananandaji, Head of St. Louis, Missouri & Sarvadevanandaji, Head of Hollywood, California for sending us their blessings message either by written message or video speech to grace this inauguration ceremony.

Revered Swami Aksharanandaji was the main architect of our Vivekananda Center New York and a personal mentor for me, naming this Bhavan after him, is our sincere gratitude towards Revered Maharajji!
In addition, we have created several Memorial Funds and other Funds in honor of Revered Swamijis and other Householder devotees who always inspired us and supported us in our humble service efforts since 1995.
Sewing Machine Training

We organized tailoring Training Project for Economically backward mothers and young girls at Ramakrishna Sevashrama, Uttar Rowail, Mirzapur, Tangail. This project was aimed at making the girls skillful, hence empowering them to earn livelihood for themselves and be self reliant.

Drinking Water Project

A Reverse Osmosis Plant was installed at Sriramakrishna Sebashram, Ramnagar, Dakop, Khulna by our organization, under the overall supervision of Sri Ramakrishna Sebashram, Khulna. This drinking water plant will serve people in the area by ensuring clean drinking water for them. The water plant was inaugurated by Smt. Swami Dharmanandaji Maharaj, President Shriramakrishna Sebashram, Khulna. We are grateful to Revered Swami Chetananandaji Maharaj for his financial support and Khulna Sri Ramakrishna Sevashrama to make this project a reality.

Maa- Sarada Kutir Project

Maa Sarada Kutir Project was an initiative by the Ramakrishna Sevashram, Mirzapur, Tangail, Bangladesh. The project was aimed at providing basic shelters to less fortunate mothers at Uttar Rowail, Mirzapur, Tangail, Bangladesh. Our organization is fortunate enough to provide financial and other support towards this project in the holy service towards socially and financially backward women of Bangladesh.

Annual Music Program Organized for our Children

Our children performed devotional songs at annual music program which was organized by our center during Christmas Eve.

Seminar on Health Education at Ramakrishna Sevashram

Ramakrishna Sevashrama, Uttar Rowail, Mirzapur, Tangail, Bangladesh arranged a “Seminar on Health Education” for our 250 plus Kids and local devotees. Renowned Physician Dr. Malay Das and his son Dr. Debesh Das from Los Angeles, California, USA were the distinguished Guest Speakers. Revered Swami AdirupanandaJi, Secretary of Ramakrishna Sevashrama, Baliati, Manikganj presided over the meeting. Several Vivekananda Scholarship Recipients from Medical Colleges and Dhaka University were present. Br. Vivek MaharajJi along with his Volunteers led the program and Revered Swami Harigunanandaji from Baliati was also present. We are grateful to all for making our kids aware of their physical health education. Please keep our students in your prayers.

Seminar on “Scientific Research Education” with Dr. Dhanonjoy Saha

Ramakrishna Sevashrama, Uttar Rowail, Mirzapur, Tangail had arranged a Seminar on “Scientific Research Education” today with Dr. Dhanonjoy Saha, a leading researcher & Scientist from Albert Einstein Medical College of New York, USA. Revered Swamis AdirupanandaJi from Baliati Mission and Ambeshanandaji from Dhaka Mission also spoke in the Seminar. Our 250 plus Kids are very happy to get the opportunity to attend.

Nara Narayan Seva on Kalpataru Day

Services to needy and poor people were extended at Kamarpukur, the birthplace of Sri Ramakrishna Deva on Kalpa Taru Day. Food, ration and clothes were distributed to people who lacked basic amenities for their daily life.

Vivekananda Scholarships to 22 students at Govt. Baroda Medical College, Gujarat, India

Vivekananda Study & Philanthropic Center has provided scholarships to 22 students at Govt. Baroda Medical College in Gujarat, India. We have taken their full responsibility over the next 5 years until their graduation.

Service to Jyanta Durgas at Kamarpukur, West Bengal

We have extended our Seva Services to 110 Jyanta (Living) Durga Ma at Kamarpukur in West Bengal – the Holy Birthplace of Sri Ramakrishna Deva. Most of these mothers are Bhava Ghure Ma- many have no place to go , many are abandoned by their families and sometimes nothing to eat. Many beg on the streets all day for their food. Our Revered Swamijis have thoughtfully and compassionately provided them with one week of food supplies (19 items), so during this auspicious time of Durga Puja these less fortunate mothers can peacefully enjoy the puja. Service on National Youth Day of India

On the occasion of National Youth Day of India for Swami Vivekananda’s birthday, our 13 Vivekananda scholars of Calcutta National Medical College have provided Seva services in Kakilpur village of Sundarban in West Bengal. Everyone has enjoyed this wonderful opportunity to serve the people-in-need. We are very much proud of our Vivekananda Scholarship recipients.

Distribution of Good Food & New Clothes at Orphanages
Our Durga Puja Seva Service continues in several Orphanages in Chittagong area under the supervision and leadership of Revered Swami ShaktinathanandaJi, Head of Ramakrishna Mission, Chittagong. We were able to serve several hundred less fortunate boys and girls with good food and new clothes including their teachers and helpers. In addition, we have also served several hundred “Janta Durga Ma” with new sarees in this area. We are grateful to Revered Shaktinathanandaji for his initiative to serve these less fortunate mothers and children.
School Bag Distribution at Ramakrishna Mission School, Dhaka

As a part of the Durga Puja Seva Services project, School bags were distributed among children at Ramakrishna Mission School, Dhaka. We are grateful to Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaka for giving us this service opportunity.

Blanket Distribution among 600 families at Sunderbans area

Blankets distribution among 600 families in the Sundarbans area was organized by Ramakrishna Math, Kamarpukur, the Holy Birthplace of Sri Ramakrishna Deva. We are grateful to Kamarpukur for giving us this wonderful opportunity to be in serve of these people-in-need.

Scholarship for 13 Girls at Calcutta National Medical College

Vivekananda Scholarship awarded to 13 Medical Students (All Girls) at Calcutta National Medical College, Calcutta, West Bengal, India; getting the blessings from Honorable General Secretary of Revered Swami SuviranandaJi of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission HQ, Belur Math, West Bengal, India and other Revered Swamis.

Education Seminar for SSC candidates at Mirzapur, Tangail

An Education Seminar was organized for SSC candidates (10th Graders) at Ramakrishna Sevashrama, Uattar Rowail, Mirzapur, Tangail. 140 students from 10 high schools participated in the seminar, A wide range of things were discussed such as Tips on study techniques, time management, and exam strategies. Workshops and motivational talks were also held.

Scholarships for Medical Students at Jammu & Kashmir

Vanshika Sharma, Seerat Fatima and Sourav Singh, three bright students from Jammu Govt. Medical College, Jammu & Kashmir, India were awarded Vivekananda Scholarships. They have worked very hard to reach this point in their career.

Inauguration of Mobile Medical Services Car
Swami SmarananandaJi Memorial Mobile Medical Services Car was officially inaugurated by Revered Swamis NityamuktanandaJi, Head of Udbodhan and JnanavratanandaJi, Manager Maharaj of Belur Math, West Bengal, India . Our Vivekananda Study & Philanthropic Center of New York, USA has provided the funding in loving memory of Most Revered Swami SmarananandaJi Maharaj. In addition, we have established “Swami SmarananandaJi Memorial Fund” in Ramakrishna Mission Centers in Somsar, Kalyani, Kathamrita Bhavana and Vivekananda Swasthya Seva Sangha India and Mirzapur & Baliati in Bangladesh to continue Seva services in honor of Revered SmarananandaJi’s legacy.

Award of Vivekananda Scholarships to 25 Students of Dhaka University

Vivekananda Study & Philanthropic Center of New York, USA has selected 16 Girls and 9 Boys from Dhaka University for Vivekananda Scholarship until their graduation!! Their financial struggles are beyond imagination BUT their determination to be successful in life is sky high with sincerity and hard work!!! We had sent them to visit Dhaka Ramakrishna Mission on Saturday. Revered Swami PurnatmanandaJi Maharaj, Head of Dhaka Mission, received them with open arms, spoke with them more than an hour and fed them with good food! This is the first visit to a Ramakrishna Mission for the most of the girls! All of the students have received Kathamrita and other books for character building education. Our students were thrilled with the hospitality, equal love and respect for all by our Revered Monks at Dhaka Mission. Please keep our students in your prayers! We hope and pray with this Vivekananda Scholarship along with character building education, they will make a significant contribution to the society.
